There are many ways to make the festive sorrel drink. Here is one: bring 6 cups of water to boil together with 3 cups of sorrel, 1 cinnamon stick, 2.5cm thick piece of ginger, 6 whole pimento (Allspice) by Tropical Sun and 2 orange peels. Simmer for 10 minutes. Allow to cool, strain and chill.
Serve over ice in a pitcher. Add some simple sugar to sweeten to taste. For another twist, add gingerale and/or rum. To have warm, simply cool slightly and drink.
