Jamaican Festival Dough Mix 450g
Mix the contents of the packet with 4 1/4 cups of water. Using your hands, knead the mixture together to make a dough. Let it stand for 10-15 minutes covered by damp cloth. Cut or pull apart the dough into equal portions and flour lightly. Shape into finger-sized pieces and then flatten. Fry in pre-heated oil of about 2.5cm deep. Turn occasionally and cook until golden brown. Remove from the pan and blot off any excess oil with paper towel. Serve hot.
